For centuries Christians everywhere have been waiting for Jesus to come for His church. We look at the signs of the times and pray for His return - and what a glorious day that will be!
BUT....we can't just sit by and wait. There are things the Bible tells us to be doing while we are waiting.
There are many signs around us that lead us to believe that the Rapture could occur any day now.
Jesus lists the signs in Matthew 24: 4-14:
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
We can go through this list that Jesus gives in these verses and check off most of them as occurring right now. But until that glorious day comes, we have many things to do on behalf of the Kingdom of God.
Second Peter 3:9 tells us that "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
Knowing this, first and foremost, we need to spread the Gospel to others who are not saved and to those who have not heard the Gospel or who have heard it and don't understand the immense gift that Jesus gave to all of mankind.
Spreading the Gospel is very important in these times. But the Bible gives us other things that we need to do while we wait for the Rapture and in this video we go through additional scriptures to see what the Lord has called us to do while we are waiting.
We cannot sit still and just wait....we have to act.
