Letters to Heaven: My First 30 Days Without You

On December 6, 2022, after 31 months of fighting pancreatic cancer, my mother went home to be with the Lord. She was my best friend, my mentor, my teacher, and my biggest fan.

The next morning I started writing to her. Every day for thirty days I told her what was happening, what I was feeling, and what I believed she would want to know.

This book is the collection of those letters. They are not polished, and they are not meant to be. They hold the numbness of the first morning, the funeral and the long drive home, the first Christmas without her, and the strange ache of a world that keeps moving while yours has stopped. They also hold the hope that carried me through every one of those days: she is with Jesus, free of pain, and I will see her again.

If you are walking through the first days of losing someone you love, I pray these letters remind you that you are not alone, and that grief and hope can sit side by side.

Includes the story behind the letters and closes with a personal message on the hope of Heaven and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
