I Needed More Focus on the Lord…Maybe You Do Too

In October of 2024, I realized that I could get easily distracted where my walk with the Lord was concerned. It seemed like there were endless opinions, content and voices telling me what to think, feel, and believe. Even good Christian content can become overwhelming and never quite have the chance to settle in your heart.

Open Bible with a journal and pen, overlaid with the text “I Needed More Focus on the Lord. Maybe You Do Too,” representing quiet time spent reading Scripture and reflecting with God.

I needed clear direction and space to reflect,  pray and open God’s Word without rushing.

This is where the idea for the All Things Life Vault was born. It was not created as a business idea. It was created out of my own need.

Creating What I Needed for My Own Soul

Every resource inside the Vault begins the same way, with something God is teaching me.

When I sit down to create a journal, a devotional, a study, a prayer guide or even phone wallpapers, I’m not imagining a faceless audience. I’m walking through the questions myself. I’m praying through the Scriptures. I’m wrestling with truth, doubt, gratitude and growth just like everyone else.

In that sense, the Vault blesses me as much as it blesses anyone who uses it.

Writing the content makes me slow down. Scripture studies make me linger longer in the Word. Prayer guides pull me back into honest conversation with God.

I do not create resources that I don’t personally need or use. In other words, I never offer anything I haven’t walked through myself.

Focusing on the Lord

The goal of the Vault is not to add more “things” to your life. The goal is to help guide you (and me) back to a deeper focus on the Lord.

A woman sits with hands clasped in prayer beside an open Bible, with text reading “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8,” representing quiet time spent drawing closer to the Lord through prayer and Scripture.

When we choose to draw near to the Lord, He promises to draw near to us. This is not about performance, but relationship. Time spent in Scripture and prayer creates space for closeness with God. This is a closeness that brings peace, clarity, and renewed focus on what truly matters.

Inside the Vault, everything is intentionally designed to point back to Jesus and Scripture. These resources are not trends. They are reflections of the truth of God’s Word that lead to spiritual growth.

The Vault is a place to go to when:

  • Your mind feels scattered

  • Your faith feels stretched

  • You want depth without overwhelm

  • You crave quiet encouragement instead of constant commentary

The Vault is meant to be a space where you can slow down, open God’s Word, and stay there a little longer than life usually allows. Every resource is downloadable, allowing you to use it again whenever your heart needs it.

While new content is added each month, the themes aren’t tied to a specific season or date on the calendar in most cases. They’re meant to be returned to whenever you need them. This is intentional. The Vault allows you to engage with what your heart needs at the time you need it.

A Place to Go Deeper Than Social Media Allows

Social media is good at starting conversations but it’s not always good at finishing them.

There are things we simply cannot explore fully in a post, a reel or a caption. The Vault exists to take those surface-level moments and turn them into something lasting.

This is where:

  • Scripture is explored more thoughtfully

  • Prayers are prayed slowly

  • Gratitude is practiced intentionally

  • Faith is strengthened quietly, not performatively

Growth often happens in private, unseen moments. The Vault honors that.

An Invitation, Not a Pitch

I don’t believe spiritual growth should feel rushed or pressured. The Vault is not about urgency. It’s about invitation.

If you are longing for a place where faith is nurtured or if you want resources that meet you where you are or if you desire a deeper walk with God without feeling overwhelmed… The Vault is there for you.

If you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too. This space will still exist when you are ready.

Why I’ll Keep Creating What’s Inside

As long as God continues to teach me, I’ll keep creating. As long as I’m learning, growing, and being refined, the Vault will grow too.

This space is not just something I offer, it’s something I personally return to and maybe that’s what makes it so special. It is truly a labor of love.

A Note About How the Vault Is Sustained

If you’ve been longing for a space to grow, reflect and spend time with God, the Vault at All Things Life was created for that purpose. Access to the Vault is available through a subscription, which allows me to prayerfully create, maintain and expand the resources inside of it with care and intention. If that feels like a space that would support your walk with God, you’re welcome to learn more and prayerfully discern whether it’s the right fit for you.

Whatever you decide, my prayer is that you find some quiet time with the Lord that draws your heart closer to Him.

Blessings, Amy
